It’s market morning in old London. The city awakens to the peal of church bells and cool fog creeping along the pavement. Spice hawkers tout their fragrant wares from stalls heaped with exotic ingredients, and intoxicating fragrances enticing busy shoppers to warm their hands with comforting mugs of hot Victorian vanilla milk, that was my musing when I concocted this blend. Chai Bella is my version of a warm Victorian vanilla milk steeped with fresh vanilla pods with hints of warming ginger, cardamon, cinnamon and cloves. To create my comforting vanilla chai blend, I combine rich vanilla pods, decaffeinated black Indian tea and aromatic spices like cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and ginger sure to bring warm smiles on a frosty evening by the fire. Calming and sensual, with a myriad of health benefits, this is a tea fit at the end of the day for any busy shopper!!

Brewing Guide

Pre-heat your tea mug.
Measure 1 TBS. of tea into a filter.
Pour 4 oz. of freshly boiled water over tea and steep for 3-5 minutes.
Strain, pour, add 3-4 oz. of warm frothed milk of choice, 2 brown sugar cubes and dust with cinnamon, stir and enjoy! Be sure to compost spent tea leaves.

Serving Suggestions

Traditional Masala-style chai is made by simmering spices, tea and milk together on the stovetop. It’s a luxurious, soulful treat that you can easily make at home. Prepare the Chai Bella™ tea by warming 6 oz of milk on stovetop and using a strainer steep the tea directly into the milk while bringing to a gentle simmer for 5 minutes. Remove tea and spices. Add sweetener of choice or try adding French Vanilla or Caramel simple syrups and froth to billowy clouds. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon. Wrap your hands around a warm mug of Chai Bella™ on a blustery autumn day, or sip it before bed, so the fragrant spices can lull you into sweet dreams.

TO SERVE COLD
An iced Chai Bella Latte is a most welcome escape from the hum-drum demands on your to-do list.
Prepare Chai Bella tea according to brewing instructions. Sweeten to taste with brown sugar or honey and chill. Pack a tall glass with ice. Stir together cold tea and 4 oz. cold milk, or your favorite dairy-free creamer. Relaxation is but a sip away!

The glorious combination of black tea, vanilla pods, and aromatic spices make Chai Bella a delicious dalliance with pumpkin tarts, crisp ginger cookies, black pepper-flecked shortbread, Moreish spice cookies or warm gingerbread topped with a dollop of whipped cream.
